Backyard Cinema was running a screening of Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet, screened in a church with a live choir. They asked us to incorporate their own logo into the design for the event. So their wish list was to use their existing logo as the focal point, have the film title prominent and use iconography connected to the film.
Looking through the publicity for the film we decided to use the same typeface and to incorporate angel’s wings into the logo. This tied into images of Juliet wearing wings in the film and screening of the film in a church. The logo looks stunning on their website and has since been used in Time Out Magazine.
